FIX: The BizTalk schema generator does not create the correct XSD file when you use the DB2 TIME data types in a Host Integration Server 2009 environment

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2009 environment that uses the BizTalk adapter for host applications.
  • You create an XML schema data (XSD) file.
  • The DB2 data that you use to create the XSD file contains the following DB2 data types:
    • DATE
    • TIME
    • TIMESTAMP
In this scenario, the BizTalk schema generator creates the data types in the XSD file as DateTime, duration, and DateTime, respectively. When this occurs, the XSD file does not function as expected.
