INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • In SharePoint Server 2010, you customize a discretionary access control list (DACL) or a system access control list (SACL) on the log folder. However, the DACL or SACL is wiped out after you update the diagnostic settings. This issue occurs if you update the diagnostic settings by using one of the following methods:
    • You update the settings in the Diagnostic Logging page in the SharePoint Central Administration website.
    • You the use the SharePoint Object Model.
    • You use the PowerShell command.
