Error message

When you try to create a PivotTable, you receive the following error message:
A field in your source data has more unique items than can be used in a PivotTable. Microsoft Excel may not be able to create the PivotTable, or may create the PivotTable without the data from this field.
NOTE: Microsoft Office 2000 has built-in functionality that allows you to get more information about difficult-to-troubleshoot alerts or error messages. Cause

You may receive this error message if a field in your PivotTable contains too many items.

If you have fields that contain too many unique items, try using page fields or server page fields in your PivotTable.
