Line Item Approval records appear incorrectly in Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0

Symptoms

Consider the following scenarios in Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0.

Scenario 1

  • You enter a timecard in Project Flex Time, and then you set the value in the Status box to Complete.
  • The project manager reviews and rejects the submitted timecard.
  • You do not make any changes to the timecard, and then you set the value in the Status box to Complete.
In this scenario, the project manager cannot see any of the line items on the timecard. Additionally, the timecard cannot be approved in a Microsoft Dynamics SL 32-bit application because it is not visible. You expect the status of the timecard to be set to Complete and the project manager to be able to review and approve the line item.

Scenario 2

  • You enter a timecard in Project Flex Time that has multiple line items, and then you set the value in the Status box to Complete.
  • Your manager reviews the timecard and rejects all the line items.
  • You make a change to one of the line items on the rejected time card and set the Status box to Complete.
In this scenario, only the line item that you changed is visible to be approved by the project manager on the Line Item Approval screen. You expect all the line items to be available to be approved or rejected after the changes are made.
