Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7.
  • You connect to a domain controller by using the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) snap-in.
  • You edit a Group Policy setting and configure the Item-level targeting option.
  • You select Organizational Unit as the targeting item.
  • You open the Find Custom Search dialog box to add an organizational unit (OU).
In this scenario, you notice that the following buttons are missing on the Custom Search and Advanced tabs:
  • Find Now
  • Stop
  • Clear All
Therefore, you cannot use the condition list to filter and find specific OUs.

For more information about the steps to reproduce this issue, see the "More information" section.
