After you open many code windows, the Visual Basic Editor
reports the error
and you
cannot open the Visual Basic Editor.

To prevent this problem, close the code window when you
finish making changes.
If this problem has already occurred, import
all of the objects to a new database. After you import all of the objects to
the new database, you can open the Visual Basic Editor in the new database.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a
problem in Microsoft Access 2000.
The problem is based on a combination of the project size,
the number of code windows that you have opened in the Visual Basic Editor, and
the availability of system resources. After you have exceeded the system
resources, however, you can no longer open the Visual Basic Editor in this
project. Therefore, you must move all of the objects to a new database project.
