Symptoms

When you use the copy-and-paste operation to copy a picture from Microsoft Word 2000 to Microsoft FrontPage 2000, the positioning styles are not retained.

Cause

Positioning information in Microsoft Word 2000 is set to absolute in a span tag surrounding the picture. The picture is the only thing that is copied when you use the copy-and-paste operation.

Resolution

To use positioning on a picture that you copy from Microsoft Word 2000 or any other Microsoft Office product, apply the positioning format in FrontPage 2000 after you use the copy-and-paste operation.
