FP2000: No Error Message When File Is Not Found from Open File Dialog Box

Symptoms

When you try to open a Web page by typing the URL in the File name box of the Open File dialog box, no page opens and you do not receive an error message.

Cause

The Open File dialog box acts as a search mechanism. When a file name is typed in, a search is performed for that file. If the search does not find the file specified, nothing happens until the user changes the search criteria.

This problem can be caused by one of the following conditions:
You have typed the file name or URL incorrectly.

or
The page does not exist in the current Web.

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods:
Type the correct file name or URL.

or
Open the correct Web.
