FP2000: PivotTable Loses Data Connection After Drag and Undo

Symptoms

When you drag a PivotTable component to a new location and then use the Undo command on the Edit menu, the following error message appears:
Unable to connect to data.

Resolution

Although FrontPage displays an "Unable to connect to data" message, the data connection is not lost. You can still view the PivotTable component properly in Preview mode or when you preview in a browser.

To resolve this problem, do the following steps:

  1. On the Standard toolbar, click Save to save your changes.
  2. On the File menu, click Close to close the document.
  3. Double-click the file in the folder list to reopen it in FrontPage.
