FP2000: Dynamic HTML Warning in Netscape Navigator 4.08

Symptoms

When you use Netscape Navigator version 4.08 to preview a page that has Dynamic HTML effects, the following message appears:
This page contains collapsible outlines, text animations, page transitions or enhanced form fields. Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and other web browsers that support Dynamic HTML can display these features. This feature will only display in the Preview tab if Internet Explorer 4.0 is installed.

Resolution

Click OK to the message and preview the page. Although this message appears, Dynamic HTML effects work properly in Netscape Navigator.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

More information

This problem does not occur in earlier versions of Netscape Navigator. It is important to note that support for Dynamic HTML effects is only available in Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer versions 4.x and later.
