Symptoms

If you are working on a page in HTML view and then modifying the page through the use of code or in Folders view, the HTML code may not be updated when you return to the page.

Cause

The page you are working on is not automatically refreshed when you make a change such as applying a theme or shared borders.

In any situation where you are working in HTML view and must have the most up-to-date code displayed, it is important to refresh the page to see the most recent version.

To refresh the page, simply refresh the view of the page by pressing F5 or click on the Normal tab, and then click the HTML tab.

If you refresh the page, you are able to see the most up-to-date version of the code.
