Each time FrontPage makes a separate request to the server for a file that FrontPage can edit, you will be prompted for a user name and password, unless you have already connected to the server with a valid user name and password.
Examples
- If you open a frame set (as read-only) that contains three individual frames, you will receive three additional user name and password prompts.
- If a single file is formatted with an external Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) file, there will be a password prompt for the single file and a separate password prompt for the CSS formatting file.
NOTE: Images in the requested file do not increase the number of password prompts.
In Active Server Pages, virtual includes (<!--#include...) will increase the number prompts if the file that is included is linked to files which FrontPage can edit.
FrontPage include components will increase the number of password prompts once for the page you have included and once for each file that is linked to from the include file which FrontPage can edit.
