FP2000: Tasks are Not Updated After Deleting and Re-Creating Pages

Symptoms

If you have a page with a task associated with it, the task is not be updated or removed after you delete the page.

If you recreate a page with the same name, the task will be associated with the new page.

Cause

FrontPage preserves all task data, so you will not lose vital task information unless you choose to specifically remove the task.

Resolution

If you no longer want a task to exist, remove the task. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open the web that contains the tasks you want to remove.
  2. On the View menu, click Tasks.
  3. Click to select the task you want to remove.
  4. Press DELETE.
  5. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion of the task, click Yes.
