"000000D1" Stop error occurs when you publish a PPTP server in Forefront TMG 2010

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 on a computer.
  • You use Forefront TMG 2010 to publish an internal point-to-point tunneling protocol (PPTP) server.
In this scenario, the computer may restart unexpectedly. Additionally, you receive the following Stop code error:
Stop code 000000D1

Cause

This issue occurs because a Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) packet is handled by Forefront TMG 2010 incorrectly.

Service pack information

This issue is resolved in Forefront TMG 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
