Symptoms

In Microsoft Excel, if you open a new Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications project--for example, VBAProject(test), the project is replaced by an unexpected project, VBAProject(object).

This issue occurs when you follow these steps:
  1. You open a new Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications project, VBAProject(test), by using Microsoft Internet Explorer to connect to a workbook named Test.xls.
  2. In Internet Explorer, you click Back. The new Visual Basic project is replaced by an unexpected project, VBAProject(object).
When you click Forward in Internet Explorer, the first Visual Basic project, VBAProject(test), reappears and the unexpected project, VBAProject(object), also remains.

VBAProject(Object) is a hidden workbook with a single worksheet.

Workaround

To work around this issue, ignore the VBAProject(Object) project. There is no way to delete or remove the extraneous project, but it does not affect the expected operation of other Visual Basic projects.
