When you save a workbook in an older file format you may receive the following error message, which incorrectly identifies the cell in which a function resides:
A formula in a cell (Name:defined name) could not be converted because it contains a function that is not available in the file format to which you are saving. If you continue the save, the formula and result will be saved, but the function itself will be converted to an error value.
Do you want to see additional errors as they occur so you can fix them later?
where
defined name is the last defined name, alphabetically, in your workbook.
If you click
Yes the error message reappears, but
defined name is replaced with a cell reference.
