The "HBA_SendCTPassThruV2" function fails in Windows Server 2008 R2 or in Windows 7

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

The HBA_SendCTPassThruV2 function fails on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7.

Cause

This issue occurs because the HBA_SendCTPassThruV2 function allocates a buffer for a method before the function calls the method. Therefore, the buffer size might be insufficient. Additionally, the function does not allocate a larger buffer and then call the method again when the allocated buffer is insufficient. Therefore, the function fails.
