XL2000: Cannot Open Quattro Pro for Windows File in Excel

Symptoms

In Microsoft Excel 2000, when you attempt to open a Quattro Pro for Windows file with a password-level setting of high, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
No page info found.
[filename]:file format is not valid.
-or-
Cannot Open Quattro Pro for Windows file.

Workaround

To work around this issue, follow these steps:

1.Open the file in the version of Quattro Pro for Windows in which it was created.
2.Position the mouse pointer on the document title bar, and then click the right mouse button.
3.Select Password Level, and then click None.
4.Save the file, and then re-open it in Excel. You should now be able to open the file without receiving an error message.
