- In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box, on the Install/Uninstall tab, double-click Microsoft Office 2000, (or Microsoft Excel 2000).
- In the first dialog box that appears, click Add or Remove Features.
- In the next dialog box, expand Microsoft Excel for Windows, click Microsoft Map, click Run from My Computer, and then click Update Now.

- Determine the path to the Geodict.dct file.
TIP: An easy way to do this is to use the Find command in Windows Explorer.
- Click Start, click Run, and then browse to find Msmap.exe.
- In the Browse dialog box, click MSMAP, click Open, and then in the Run dialog box, click OK.
NOTE: The default path for Msmap.exe is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Datamap, where C is the drive where Windows is installed.
- In the Locate Microsoft Map Folders dialog box, type the path you found in step 1 in the Type the name....for the Microsoft Map box.
The error message should no longer appear.
