To programmatically change the
Name property of a project, follow these steps:
- Close and save any open workbooks.
- Open a new workbook and start the Visual Basic Editor (press ALT+F11).
- On the Insert menu, click Module.
- In the module sheet, type the following code:
Sub Change_Name()
NewName = InputBox("Type your new project name")
If NewName <> "" Then 'You did not click Cancel in the InputBox
Application.VBE.VBProjects("VBAProject").Name = NewName
End If
End Sub
- Run the Change_Name macro.
- When you are prompted, type a name for the project and click OK.
The
Name property for the project is changed to the name you typed in the input box.
