You can still create and delete new menu items for macros on the
Tools menu. To do this, you must use the
Add and
Delete methods for
CommandBars.
In the following example, the Visual Basic macro code creates an item on
the
Tools menu called
Run Test and assigns the macro
Test to the menu item:
Sub AddTesttoToolsMenu()
Set xItem = _
CommandBars("Tools").Controls.Add(Type:=msoControlButton)
With xItem
.Caption = "Run Test"
.OnAction = "Test"
End With
End Sub
To remove the menu item, use this code:
Sub RemoveTestFromToolsMenu()
CommandBars("Tools").Controls("Run Test").Delete
End Sub
To add or remove a menu item from the
Tools menu, you must use a Visual Basic macro.
