Summary

This article explains how to change the font (style, size, and color) for the text of a comment in Microsoft Excel. To add a comment to the active cell, click Comment on the Insert menu, and then type your text in the yellow comment box.

How to Change the Font in a Comment

  1. On the Format menu, click Comment.
  2. Make the intended changes to style, size, or color, and then click OK.
  3. Type the text for your comment, and then click another cell so that the comment is no longer selected.

How to Edit a Comment

  1. Select the cell that contains the comment.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Edit Comment.
  3. Select the text that you want to change.
  4. On the Format menu, click Comment.
  5. Make your intended changes, and then click OK.
