XL2000: Left, Top Sides of Chart Missing After Pasting Bitmap Picture

Symptoms

When you paste a chart object in Microsoft Excel, the left and top sides of the object may be clipped.

Cause

This problem occurs if you copy the chart as a bitmap (.bmp) picture.

Workaround

To work around this problem, select the Picture format when you copy the chart, rather than the Bitmap format. To do this, follow these steps:
1.Hold down SHIFT, and click the chart to select it.
2.Hold down SHIFT and click Copy Picture on the Edit menu.
3.In the Copy Picture dialog box, click Picture, and then click OK.
4.Select the area in which you want to paste the chart. On the Edit menu, click Paste.
