INTRODUCTION

This article describes a hotfix for the Visual Studio 2010 debugger. This hotfix enables the Visual Studio 2010 debugger to access the Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) on a computer that is running Windows 7 Services Pack 1 (SP1) Beta or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Beta, even though the Windows APIs for accessing the extended context record are changed.

You must have Visual Studio 2010 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you install the hotfix if there is no instance of Visual Studio is being used.
