Symptoms

When you save a workbook, a custom toolbar that is attached to the workbook may not be saved.

Cause

This behavior occurs when you save the workbook in the "Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook" file format.

NOTE: If you save the workbook in the "Microsoft Excel Workbook" file format, an attached toolbar is saved with the workbook.

More information

In Excel, you can attach custom toolbars to workbooks. If a workbook contains an attached toolbar, the toolbar is available to every person who opens the workbook.

To attach a custom toolbar to a workbook, follow these steps:
1.On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Toolbars tab.
2.Click Attach.
3.Click the custom toolbar you want to attach, and then click Copy.
4.Click OK and then click Close.
