If you add fields to a PivotTable from the OLAP server, and those fields are not part of the original local .cub file from which the PivotTable was created, you must edit the local .cub file and add the new dimensions, levels, and measures. You cannot reconnect to the local .cub file if the PivotTable contains new fields that are not part of the local data file. To edit the local data file, follow these steps:
- In the Client-Server Settings dialog box, click Edit local data file.
- Click Next.
- Click the dimensions and levels you want to add to your local data file.
- Click the items for each level in your cube and click Next.
- Click Finish to save the .cub file.
