If you click a PivotChart report, and then click the Chart menu or right-click the chart to change the source range, the Source Data menu item is dimmed and you cannot change the range.

You cannot change the source range of a PivotChart. You can only associate a PivotChart with one PivotTable report, and after making this association, you cannot change it to a different source.

If you need the PivotChart to refer to a different PivotTable, create a new PivotChart from that PivotTable.

You cannot edit a series formula in a PivotChart. If you select a series in the chart and click the formula bar showing the series formula, you receive the following message:
You cannot edit a PivotChart series with the formula bar. You can change the view of data in a PivotChart report by reorganizing its fields or items, or by changing its associated PivotTable report.
