Symptoms

When you copy multiple items to the Clipboard toolbar, the Office Clipboard does not display an icon for every item. Instead you seem to be missing some items that you copied.

Cause

The Microsoft Office Clipboard always stores cell contents as values. When you copy identical values, the Clipboard compares what is being copied to what was previously copied, and displays only one copy of the value to reduce redundancy.

More information

Because the Microsoft Office Clipboard always stores cell contents as values, when a formula returns a value identical to a previously copied value, Excel does not copy a new item to the Office Clipboard.
