ACC2000: Error Using Database Documenter If Objects Are Open

When you use the Documenter Wizard in a Microsoft Access database, some objects that are open may produce an error if you try to document them.

If you have a query open in either Datasheet or Design view when you document it with the Documenter, you receive the following error: If you have a form open in either Form or Datasheet view when you document it with the Documenter, you may receive the following error. You may also receive this error if the Relationships window is open when you try to document a form: These error messages are followed by another message: If you click Yes to continue the Documenter, it proceeds with the remaining objects it is able to document.

Before you use the Documenter Wizard, close all open objects in the database.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

1. Start Microsoft Access and open the sample database Northwind.mdb.
2. Open the Invoices query in Datasheet view.
3. On the Tools menu, point to Analyze, and then click Documenter.
4. In the Documenter dialog box, click the Queries tab.
5. Click the Invoices query, and then click OK. Note the error messages you receive. Click No when prompted if you want to continue.
