Symptoms

When you import a page from another Web, that page loses its shared borders and the theme that has been applied to the original Web. Even if a theme or a shared border has been applied to the Web, the page assumes the theme and borders of the Web into which it has been imported.

Cause

When you import a file from a disk location, FrontPage does not follow links which represent included content. Shared borders and themes are held in a different file location and are not part of the page.

Resolution

To work around this behavior, reapply the settings to the imported page after you import it into the new Web. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open the page in FrontPage.
  2. On the Format menu, click Theme.
  3. Apply the theme you want.
  4. Click OK.
