Consider the following scenario:
For example, when you change 1,000.123 from an Arabic number to a Hindi number, the number becomes ١,٠٠٠.١٢٣. Therefore, you cannot distinguish the decimal symbol from zero.
Note This issue does not occur in earlier versions of Windows.
- You have a computer that is running an Arabic version of Windows 7 or of Windows Server 2008 R2.
- You run Microsoft Excel or another Microsoft Office application that contains an Arabic number (Also known as an English number or a Latin digit) on the computer.
- You change the Arabic number to a Hindi number (Also known as an Arabic digit).
