The survey count differs between “Number of Responses” and “Show all responses” in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or in Office SharePoint Server 2007

In Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 or in Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, you notice that the survey count in the Summary view differs from the survey count in the All Survey Result view.  Specifically, the Number of Responses value differs from the Show all responses value, and AllItems.aspx shows less surveys than Overview.aspx and Summary.aspx.
