Deployed Printers MMC is Empty When More Than 1000 Print Connection Policies Exist in Active Directory

When launching the Deployed Printers console, no printer connections are listed.

This can occur if more than 1000 print connection policies exist with Active Directory. Because the Deployed Printers user interface does not implement a paging mechanism for Active Directory queries, large result sets are not handled properly, which results in a empty list.

A workaround to the issue is to increase the MaxPageSize setting as documented in the following knowledge base article:

The default value is 1000, with a maximum of 20000.

NOTE: This setting effects all objects that appear using LDAP queries, not just printer objects. If is recommended to set this value just high enough to mitigate any problems you may be experiencing.
