More Information

This can occur if the name of your server contains the following characters: 

-SCVMM-

This is case sensitive, so if the server name contains the same characters in lower case, or does not contain the two "-" characters, then the setup should not fail with this error. 

"-SCVMM-" is a reserved name within the SCVMM product. 

If you encounter this issue then you will need to rename the server before installing SCVMM 2008.
