ConfigMgr 2007: Unable to connect via Remote Tools

Symptoms

Initiate the Remote Tools from a server when a user is logged in. On the server you would see "Asking for user's permission" and in the background we see:

"Configuration Manager remote control requires an interactive user to be logged on to the computer and for the session to be unlocked. Use Remote Desktop Connection client to control this computer, or click Cancel to terminate the connection"

Now on the client, we are logged on to the desktop, you will see "will you allow remote users to see desktop | Yes and No".

Once we click on Yes on client: the red icon appears on top right corner.

On the server: "Asking for user's permission" has disappeared now and you would see the following error:

"Configuration Manager remote control requires an interactive user to be logged on to the computer and for the session to be unlocked. Use Remote Desktop Connection client to control this computer, or click Cancel to terminate the connection"
