Internet Explorer Active Setup Starts the Wrong ADDON Page

When you try to add a component to Internet Explorer by using Internet Explorer Active Setup, Internet Explorer may go to a Web site other than the Internet Explorer Addon page.

This behavior can occur if the registry has an incorrect value for the Internet Explorer Addon page.

To resolve this issue, use Registry Editor to add the Addon_URL value to the following registry key if it does not already exist: Modify the value data of the Addon_URL value appropriately:

Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

NOTE: These locations are the default Internet locations for updates. If you have a different local page for addons, you can place the appropriate local Web address in the appropriate registry key.
