Workaround

To work around this problem:

If anonymous access is not enabled for the NNTP protocol, grant anonymous access.
If an incorrect password has been entered, verify and use the correct password.
If the account used for validation has been incorrectly entered, verify and use the correct account.
If the account used for validation has a duplicate alias between multiple mailboxes for mailbox and custom recipients, change the alias used on the custom recipient so that it does not match the alias on the mailbox.
