Resolution

To work around this issue, open the appropriate folder, and then print the contents of the screen. To do so, use the appropriate method:

NOTE: You can only view or print the contents of the History or Temporary Internet Files folders for the user who is currently logged on to the computer. If you attempt to open another user's History or Temporary Internet Files folder, the contents of the currently logged on user's History or Temporary Internet Files folder is displayed instead of the user's folder you selected. This behavior is by design.

History Folder

  1. Click Start, point to Find (or Search), and then click Files Or Folders (or For Files Or Folders).
  2. In the Named box, type history, and then click Find Now.
  3. Double-click the History folder.

NOTE: If you find more than one History folder, open the folder that has Url History Folder listed as its type.
  4. View the entries that you want to print, and then print the contents of the screen. For information about how to print the contents of the screen, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type print screen, click Display, and then double-click the To copy the window or screen contents topic.

More Information

The History and Temporary Internet Files folders can be emptied by the user manually; therefore, the contents of these folders are not a reliable way of tracking Web sites accessed by Internet Explorer. Proxy servers or standalone tracking software provide a more reliable way of tracking a user's access to Web sites.
