Microsoft Complete for Surface: Accident Protection Claims Process

Microsoft Complete for Surface provides you with two years of technical support from The Answer Desk, an additional year of limited warranty coverage and two years of accidental damage protection—even from drops and spills.*

To file a claim:

Step 1: Go to Microsoft Device Support and sign in with your Microsoft Account to view your registered devices. If your Surface device isn’t shown follow the steps here . To register your Surface device, you need a free Microsoft account. If you don’t already have one, create a Microsoft account now.

Step 2: Once you are logged in and your Surface device is registered locate your Surface under My devices. Click on the dropdown arrow next to Manage and choose: Repair my device.

Step 3: Follow the steps in the Device Support page to identify your issue and create a service order. 

NOTE: Your Product may be required to be returned to a Retailer for covered servicing under this Contract. Please do not take or return Your Product to the Retailer or ship Your Product anywhere, unless We instruct You to do so.
