Symptoms

When a user send a message that uses a POP3 client (for example, Eudora 3.0) and includes an attachment with a filename longer than 25 characters, the attachment is not decoded.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Exchange Server 5.0 U.S. Service Pack.
