Issue that this hotfix package fixes

When you save a file in Microsoft Office Excel 2007, you receive the following error message:
Your changes could not be saved to 'FileName' because of a sharing violation. Try saving to a different file.

Note This issue may occur if you repeatedly save the workbook at short intervals. The hotfix that is described in this article fixes one specific issue caused by the Office Shell Extension msoshext.dll file. However, there might be other components that are causing the same kind of symptoms.
