INTRODUCTION

This article introduces a hotfix rollup that fixes several problems in Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) on computers that are running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. The hotfix rollup applies to the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1).   • 971841 FIX: You experience performance issues when you run a .NET Framework 3.5-based WCF service that uses TCP transport and enables channel caching under heavy load conditions

  • 971842 FIX: URIs in a WCF WSDL document refer to inaccessible internal instances instead of to the load balancer as expected in the .NET Framework 3.5

  • 973606 FIX: Authentication fails when a client calls a WCF service in which a user creates a self-signed certificate for SSL authentication
