Note The RC and IDX version of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are prerelease versions of Windows 7. MSRC Security Bulletin MS09-061 does not cover prerelease versions of Windows 7. Nevertheless, we have made security updates available for these prerelease versions to help secure customers who have not upgraded to the official release of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. However, we will discontinue these updates in the future. We recommend that customers migrate to the official release of Windows 7 or to Windows Server 2008 R2 as soon as possible so that they continue to receive security updates.
