Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for DB2 stops working when it is running against a DB2 database on a Linux system

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You are in a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2009 or a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006 environment. You use Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for DB2 against a Linux system that runs a DB2 database that has a DBMS name of QDB2/LINUXX8664. Then, BizTalk Adapter stops working.

When you analyze the network trace, you find that the remote system returns the DBMS name:
QDB2/LINUXX8664
This can be seen if you analyze the EXCSATRD (Exchange Server Attributes Reply Data) DDM code point. In this case, the code point returns:
DDM: DSS command = SRVCLSNM
DDM: QDB2/LINUXX8664
