Error messages when you try to select a system database in the Find Database (98.000.01) screen in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0: "SIGNON.EXE has encountered a problem" and "Attempted to read or write protected memory"


Symptoms

When you type or select a system database name in the
Database Name box in the Find Database (98.000.01) screen in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0, you receive the following error messages.

Error Message 1

SIGNON.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience

Error Message 2

Attempted to read or write protected memory. This may be an indication that memory is corrupt.
