When you open a Web page that uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, an access violation may occur. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
  4. Type FEATURE_CERT_TRUST_VERIFIED_KB936882, and then press ENTER.
  5. Click FEATURE_CERT_TRUST_VERIFIED_KB936882, on the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  6. Type Iexplore.exe, and then press ENTER.
  7. Right-click Iexplore.exe, and then click Modify.
  8. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
