Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
If you use Outlook to schedule appointments, you have to enable the address book provider for the Microsoft CRM client for Outlook. Otherwise, the address book provider for the Microsoft CRM client for Outlook cannot determine the e-mail addresses of the scheduled appointments. The appointments will be missing from your calendar in Outlook.
Registry keys that are created by the hotfix
When you install this hotfix, the following registry entries are automatically created:
- ABPAccount
- ABPContact
- ABPLead
- ABPEquipment
- ABPQueue
- ABPSystemUser
Notes- These registry entries are created in the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/MSCRM
- A value of "3" is the default value of these registry entries. The value of these registry entries determines the records that you will synchronize to the address book provider. When you select fewer records to synchronize, performance will be faster.
Note These registry entries apply to all Microsoft CRM users. You cannot configure these registry entries for specific users.
The following table lists each registry entry and the value that you can set.

-
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

- Right-click ABPAccount, and then click Modify.
