Installation information
By default this hotfix is disabled. To enable this hotfix, create a new registry key. To do this, follow these steps:

Exit Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.
- On the server that is running Microsoft Dynamics CRM, click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM
- On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
- Type CheckPrivilegesForResources, and then press ENTER.
- Right-click CheckPrivilegesForResources, and then click Modify.
- In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
- On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.
Note After you enable this hotfix, a user can see only the resource groups for which the user has privileges from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM security role. Specifically, the user can see the resource group for the users. And, the user can see the resource group for the equipment for which the user has privileges.
