Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0:
  • You have the "Send E-mail as Another User" permission.
  • You use the "Send Direct E-mail" functionality to send an e-mail message to an account, to a contact, or to a lead.
  • You select another user account from which to send the e-mail message. To do this, you click User or Queue to open the Look Up Records dialog box.
In this scenario, you find that no account other than your account appears in the Look Up Records dialog box. Therefore, you cannot send an e-mail message from another user account.

This problem occurs only when you use the "Send Direct E-mail" functionality. You can still send an e-mail message from another user account if you double-click to open the account, the contact, or the lead form, you click Send E-mail, and then you click the From field.
