Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Log on to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server as a user who has a system administrator role.
  2. Click Settings, click Customization, click Customize Entities, and then double-click Case.
  3. In the Entity:Case dialog box, click Forms and Views, and then double-click From.
  4. In the Form:Case dialog box, double-click Subject.
  5. In the Field Properties dialog box, click the Events tab, and then click Edit.
  6. In the Event Detail Properties dialog box, click to select the Event is enabled check box, and then type alert(�Event Fired�) in the box for the code.
  7. Click OK two times.
  8. In the Form:Case dialog box, click Save and Close.
  9. In the Entity:Case dialog box, click Publish on the Actions menu.
  10. Click Service, click Cases, and then click New.
  11. In the Case:New dialog box, use the Form Assistant to complete the Customer field.
  12. Use the Form Assistant to complete the Subject field.
